Bitter Game (Cleanse That Ass)

 
 

Goals:

  • Bitter Theme

  • Learn a bit of Unity’s new rendering pipeline

  • Learn a bit of Substance Painter

  • Learn a bit of modeling.

Conclusion:

  • Got most of the theme

  • Learned a bit of the rendering pipeline

  • Learned a bit of Substance Painter

How I came up with this game:

When it came to Bitter. I came to the conclusion that it would be something a bit gross and un-tasteful. And so I decided to go with poop and butts, and you have to clean those butts. This game idea is also based upon a past pitch I did as well, and I was a bit bitter that it didn’t end up getting picked. (Thank god it wasn’t picked).


What went Right:

I managed to learn and get started with a whole bunch of tools I haven’t touched before. I managed to prototype the game fairly quickly, and reach something with a full game-play loop.


What went Wrong:

I had to spend a good amount of time learning the new tools to make the game. More time was spent making the assets for the game then programming the actual game.
