Final Plantasy
Final Plantasy - 2013
Made by a team of 3 engineers (As you can tell). The game is about you taking control of a radioactive plant who is trying to rescue his friend. As a rouge-like RPG game, you can buy various abilities, fight various enemies, and encounter various events.
Built-in Gamemaker
Final Plantasy was the first game I ever worked on. And I am freaking proud of it. I would be lying if we weren’t taught about scope with this one, but we endured, and we finished. I remember how laughable it was we discovered our game was somehow consuming 3 gigs of memory on a MAC machine (I partially blame the MAC machine, and Gamemaker). In the end, the sprite sheets I imported were too large (apparently I wanted that HD 60 fps sprite animation).
Props to Daniel Sanders for somehow dealing with all of my unreasonable design requests. Props to Khoa Dang for being the lead artist (despite shooting for an engineering degree).
My Contributions
As Team Lead and Designer I performed the following:
Organized team pipeline and workflow.
Designed various enemy behaviors.
Designed various abilities.
Designed various text events.
